Physical Therapy
At Elite, we use a combination of functional exercise and manual therapy to help patients reach their mobility goals, increase their independence, and achieve pain management for a better quality of life.
Pursuing Wellness Through Physical Therapy
A Multidisciplinary Approach to Health and Wellness
Our physical therapists use a combination of therapeutic exercise, physical modalities (including ultrasound and electrotherapy), manual techniques, assistive devices, and patient education and training to achieve the patients’ goals.
We provide only the best therapeutic intervention with our staff of highly educated health care providers. Each holds an advanced 3-year degree from an accredited physical therapy program and has successfully completed the national licensure exam.
How We Can Help
Each patient is thoroughly examined to determine the root cause of their pain or movement problem. Through direct, one-on-one patient care and treatment plans are tailored to each individual patient to maximize treatment outcomes. We offer physical therapy for various orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries, including:
1.
Soft tissue and joint injuries
(sprains, strains, tendonitis, fractures, dislocations, impingement syndromes), through therapeutic exercises and manual therapy, we mobilize soft tissue and joints in combination with treatments such as ultrasound, taping or electrical stimulation. Together these interventions help to relieve pain, restore muscle and joint function, and can prevent pain from reoccurring.
2.
Pre- and post-operative rehabilitation
Physical therapy pre- and post-operation can improve the success rates of the surgery dramatically by ensuring that you are in the best shape going into the operation, and can recover faster afterward.
3.
Postural dysfunctions
Pressure builds up when joints, muscles, and vertebrae in the back are in stressful positions leading to pain and a reduced range of movement. A physical therapist will help to manage and rehabilitate this dysfunction.
4.
Arthritic conditions
and other age-related conditions can benefit from physical therapy for aiding recovery from joint replacement and proactively managing arthritic and osteoporotic conditions.
5.
Overuse injuries
A physical therapist understands how the muscles and joints work together and will design an appropriate recovery program to manage an overuse injury.
6.
Pain after an accident or traumatic event
A physical therapist will customize an individual care plan and, through various interventions, reduce pain, and restore joint and muscle function. There are countless conditions in addition to the above that affect an individual ability to move freely and without pain. Our experienced physical therapists haveexpertise in addressing the root causes of these conditions to help patients meet their health-related goals.
