I'm by no means a professional athlete, but Matt has always treated me as such. I'm a "regular guy" with a family and a full time job, just trying to improve my running. I met Matt years ago when I was injured from over training. I had been running for a few years with modest improvements, but was not taking care of my body and found myself injured and unable to run. Matt worked with me over the next 12 months to rehabilitate my injured hip, to help me rework my running stride, and to help my body recover properly from the rigors of marathon training. He also introduced me to new strength + stretching techniques and even helped me to refine my diet.
I credit all of this for my continued improvement in the sport of running. At age 41, I've continued to set lifetime bests in all distances from 5K to the marathon. For four consecutive years, I've improved my time in the Chicago Marathon to a current best of 2:44:28.
Thanks to Matt's continued dedication to his craft and to my well-being, I am able to continue performing at this level and am injury free. Matt makes time for me and gives me individual attention and treats me like a professional. He's become a trusted friend and advisor in my pursuit to become a better runner.
