Selective Functional Movement Screen
Pain, muscle imbalances and poor flexibility can cause changes in the way we move. Over time, these changes in movement may lead to decreased range of motion in your joints, muscle length changes, and you may start to see a noticeable decline in your strength. Abnormal movement also increases the risk of injury.
Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) is used to identify abnormal movement patterns. Elite Practitioner(s) will analyze your posture, strength, flexibility + balance, and "assess" how they work together (movement). Based on the findings from the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, we will recommend treatments that target abnormal movement patterns. These treatments can reduce pain, enhance athletic performance and prevent injuries.
